Now I know some folk in various parts of the world have been posting images of swathes of new season Tulips and fantastic they have been. But for us this is our very first Tulip of this season. It is a dwarf variety standing about 7 inches high and glowing with colour from deep orange to pale peach. It may only be a single bloom and in the grand scheme of ‘things’ rather a small contribution but it is still another sign that spring is here and still rather special for us..

One bloom like this is all I need to fill my day with beauty. Happy Springtime!
