As the song goes…. ‘June is Busting Out All Over’ and the garden is throwing up new flower heads all over…..even in the shade where the Hypericum* adds a welcome splash of colour to a dark corner. For most of the year the dark heavily grained green leaves provide great ground cover. Now for a few weeks we can enjoy these yellow gems, each having at its centre a golden nugget surrounded by a myriad of long fragile stamens. Even when they fade they will leave a bright red seed pod…..they do give great value for money.
