Blooming Joy

13.7-b

The weekend brought some heavy rain. Thankfully the sun is out again and little damage was done to the rich array of blooms in the garden, though some do show some signs of the passing storm not enough to shorten their lives or spoil their display.

But for some it is ‘good bye’ till next year. These poppies have enjoyed a good flowering season. Now the seeds heads harden will eventually pop and disperse the seeds to hopefully provide an even bigger display next year….

  1. Bloomin’ beautiful! 😀

I am a big fan of the poppy’s. They come in the most fantastic colours and I have seen them in the most wonderful warm dark red. They stop me when I pass a garden where I see them. Gordious photos, David. It’s dull and grey here, but your flowers bring in the sunshine.

    1. Colourful blooms do work like magic…brighten the darkest days. I think your weather is due with us from Friday or so the thunder warnings indicate. Best wishes

  2. We’re in for a little heatwave, David. 25º today up to 30º on Saturday. They predict it will end with a bang! Thunder and lightning and, of course, rain and hail. So they think. We will see. 😀
