It cannot really be Summer…but it sure does feel like it!

A perfect start to the 5th of May. The sun was out from crack of dawn, the skies were blue with only the occasional whisper of a cloud that did little to dim the sun. With no breeze the temperatures have been the hottest so far this year (over 22c in our garden).
The surprise was that despite this fantastic day our park and woods were deserted, it seemed as if Buster and I were the only ones out on ‘walkies’
The woods are now starting to create some shade, in fact I am sure you could hear the leaves bursting from their buds. I also promised no more Bluebell pics….but so much for promises….

Talking of promises…well the Met Office says there is more good weather to come, just hope they mean now not in another months time! But promises or not, the woodlands are full of Spring promise, the browns fading and the vibrant spring greens starting to dominate…and of course the occasional Bluebell….enjoy

Yesterday was a proper Summer’s Day. Ascention Day and for us: Liberation Day after 5 years having been occupied by Nazi’s. Festivals all over the country with over a million people visiting them. A glorious day it certainly was. I so love the photos above. A spring forest smells nice and I love the way the suns plays with the new born leaves in the trees. The shadows between the light are just magical in this period. I would wish I could you your photos for my wallpaper. But alas… it doesn’t work. So I find myself look a likes. 🙂

I envy you your sunshine. It has been rainy and dreary here in Pennsylvania for a week now! I believe we are having an Irish weather… or maybe Scottish? I bet our grass is as green as that on the other side now 🙂 But seriously, that forest with its old, gnarled trees is beautiful 🙂 Your photography as well, as always 🙂
