A Touch of Autumn at Allestree Lake
Early Morning
It is slow arriving but like it or not those first signs of autumn are getting stronger….somehow I think autumn proper is going to come all of a sudden. I guess we really need a frost to kick start it into action and despite winds from the north east and lots of high pressure, frosts seem some way off.
Confusing but as my mum used to say “it will all come out in the wash”

So best enjoy these early October days whilst we can.

This is so beautiful. We have the trees but not the water! The whole scene is idyllic.

Thank you….as autumn progresses it can in theory only get better 🙂

Despite being October the fall colours here have yet to “get going” …. just hope we don’t have any gales to strip the trees before they reach their best 🙂

I wish you a gentle, gradual, and protracted transition. Ours up north was far too abrupt.

Well this year it seems much slower transition than usual…at time we think it has stalled 🙂
