Candles for the Winter months ahead
The forecasters are suggesting that after such a mild year to date that winter is going to be severe…..so just in case of power cuts it may be wise to stock up on candles!

So do I. We do have colours but not so many colours when it comes to ‘dinner candles’ as we call these. For years we have seen almost only muted colours. Some red, hardly orange. Some yellow, but no green. Green is a colour people do not seem to like here in The Netherlands. In the photo I see spring green but I am almost sure there will be more colours green available. Here it’s grey, dark grey, muted blueish, some pink and beige. Grey and beige are the fashionable colours here for about 8 years now. I long for bright and happy colours and also for beautiful chesnut brown, golden and warm red like the autumn leaves. Darkgreen and a rich red and white for December and in January bright green and yellow… Oh well…. we cannot have it all. I will light mine this evening. It’s grey and dark outside with a lot of wind and rain. Proper Autumnal weather. 😀

That was interesting! Whoever got the idea that this ghastly red color is ‘Christmas Red’ The same goes for the green color which ought to be something lik spruce or pine color. The green of today is awful and I simply refuse to buy it! We have exactly the same colors here in Norway. Somebody should find something else to do!!!

Oh, sorry! Did you miss that one? 🙂
I prefer the true clean colors and have no likes for pastells when it comes to
candles! These pastell colors aren’t even real pastells but something ‘in between’. Never liked them, and I never will!
Whenever I find true colors, I buy 4-5 dozen to last me untill next opportunity!
