Different …but still beautiful
We are usually very proud and pleased with our spring Amaryllis. Watching the bulbous flower head on its long stem burst from the apparently dormant bulb. For several weeks the stem slowly grows, heights of 12 inches are short 24inches about average…. then overnight the flower breaks loose from its envelope with giant blousy petals…some time there are three blooms to the stem on other special occasions we get five blooms.
But things didn’t go to plan with this bulb. No sooner had the head burst from the bulb that it took a distinct turn to the left, gave up stretching itself and just flowered then and there….
Strange but I suppose just as beautiful

Not all of us choose to blossom in the conventional way. Here’s a toast to diversity!
