Early Morning at Allestree Lake….
It made a welcome change after the recent spell of dark damp days to catch a glimpse of that elusive sun. Indeed it was just a glimpse but enough to cast a brighter light of what had become a very uninspiring landscape.
There was a morning mist across the Ash meadows and along the side of the woods, as the sun climbed so did the thermometer and away went the mist.
By the time we reached the lake the day started to fill with promise….

In truth the morning never did seem settled, colours subdued and no warmth in the air. By lunch time normal service had been resumed with dark skies and a damp feel to the breeze
At least we know that the sun is still up there….somewhere, biding its time!

Yeesh. If these were “uninspired” landscapes… I REALLY want to live in your neck of the woods. These are gorgeous photos Dave!

You are lucky to live in such a great environment. Yesterday it was a very, very cold wind and today it started cold but an hour later it was much better. And tomorrow they promise double figures: 11 – 13 degrees. I wish I could send some over to you. 🙂

I think we may well have those temperatures tomorrow.

Looking at the reflections of the sky in the lakes, it seems you have a rather clear sky?
So why ‘little’? Does it perhaps have something to do with the forthcoming ‘Brexit’? 🙂

Little because it was so short lived….we did enjoy an hour and a half sunshine then back to normal…….as for Brexit the least said about that the better 🙂

He he, I guess so? However, it seems like Europe has had enough ‘tourists’ of late, and perhaps enough of EU as well? It’s gonna be a very interesting spring of 2017?!

Bit worrying as well. People from Europe who live in the UK for decades are suddenly having to fill on new forms or leave. That’s a wee bit too rough for me.

As far as I am aware that has not yet happened nor planned to happened
