
I can never resist these old Fisherman’s shacks….no doubt they have seen many centuries come and go, beaten by winters weathers and snow, bleached by summers sun. They may have crumbled at times but always someone comes and patches them up. Onetime they would have had a heather thatch roof, then corrugated iron, now miraculously held together by rust. Doors have been replaced but the stone walls remain solid.
I stated these were fisherman’s shacks but at some point in there history no doubt crofters have pressed them into use.
