It’s Cyclamen Time again….

Cyclamen-2

It is that time of year again when we start to bring some outdoor colour into our homes….   and top of that list must be the Cyclamen….. and just like many other folk we are suckers for these floral wonders.

  1. Super. Very beautiful. My mum was great in keeping them over de winter period. There were in plant hospital, of rather: in a bedroom where the central heating wasn’t turned on. It was between 6 and 12º C in that room. And she never, ever gave them water on the soil. Always on the saucer where the plant stood on. Her plants lived for decades. Mine die when they see me. 😀

    1. We tend to put the best out into the shade of the garden, still in there pots, once they have given us the joy over the winter. They die down but the gradually come autumn the strongest re-sprout. The best we bring in again….the others we plant in the shade in the garden. Some disappear but other settle and grow.

  2. So you both found out the secret of keeping them not just alive but ebjoy them again and again. I take my head off to you. Like I said, as soon as these plants see me, smell me, hear me, they die… almost instantly. :D. I am better with hybiscus. But green, non flowering plants work the best for me. I have about 20 in my livingroom. And I ‘d love a few really large ones as well. Ferns and ficusses f.i.
