Bedruthan Steps, Cornwall
I do appreciate that many followers of my blog live in a very different climate to those of us in the UK. But I still think that you will appreciate the need, after so much dull dark and damp weather, to both reflect back to those warm summer days and to look forward to many more to come in the summer months ahead.
Not that I am wishing time away, that is unforgivable……we have all the joys of spring to come….but even a ‘mental’ break from the darker times we are passing through is very welcome.
So I will just be content (for now) to imagine the sound of surf breaking along the shoreline, the smell of the salt on the breeze from the sea, the call of Gulls, that water that each footfall squeezes from the sand….and that warmth from the sun that eases away winters aches.

I suppose every morning is a good morning….even though we think that perhaps we deserve better weather. 🙂

I never mind travelling with you, whatever the weather. I visited the Steps on a beautiful late spring day and did manage to get all the way down and, obviously, back up again. Thanks for taking me back there.

Yep…its a bit of a struggle, easy going down but coming back up it does test the legs and lungs. I am always surprised that so many folk do make it in this age of sedentary jobs and so called life styles. Please stick with us and see where we get to this year even though no major travel plans have yet been hatched.:-)

Been visiting Britain sinds the early 70-ties. It feels like home to me. Especially The North. Found London not a very nice place. And I haven’t travelled the rest yet. Maybe I can do that now my friend passed away in November.
