Those of you how have followed my Blog will know that we became very proud Great Grandparents earlier this year.Β Well, Esmee has grown, she is now all of 7 months old as of yesterday so came for lunch to celebrate… with a rusk to help the new teeth

Why the serious look…. those eyes had caught sight of a packet of crisps and they where much more fun…
Just another reminder of how fast the year is passing

Oooohh Wow…. she is beautiful, David. What lovely pretty girl. I love the bit of sweets on her little nose. π
Sje has beautiful hair and the most spectacular eyes with the ring around the iris. She ‘s lucky having a gran’da who can make beautiful photos.

I clearly remember photo’s of the nieces and nephews when they were that age. Chocolate allover and also porridge but that went over. π Sweets were tucked in the cheecks just like a hamster does. Great fun to watch and I wasn’t the one to clean them up again. And the room… π

A friend once said….If we had known grandchildren were such fun – we would have had them in the first place π No being great grandparents it’s twice the fun

Betty used to say: When you have kids – be firm and honest.
When you are a grandparent you have most of the fun but you also often need to mind them when the parents go working.
But… when you’re a great grand dad or nan, you have all the pleasure.
Betty’s great grandchildren both produced two two great great grandchildren. She did see them before she died. It must have made her very happy as she did talk to me a lot about them begore she was too ill.
Me? No kids. It stoppes right here.

I think that smile was one of satisfaction having achieved something herself….even if it was getting hold of a crisp packet π
