
Loch Maree and the mountain of Slioch, North West Highlands of Scotland
A magical and often dramatic location, one I have visited regularly. The image above was an opportunistic shot, between rain showers, taken just a few years ago.
The image below is of a Valentine and Sons Post Card. I shot that image back in either 1960 or 61. Taken on a 5x4inch MPP Tech Camera. If I recall, it was Ektachrome film with a speed in those days of 10ASA (ISO)…. a tripod essential and even that was made of wood. All rather heavy to cart around.
Not the exact same footprints but near enough. Not much changes, apart of course for the Scottish weather.
