October is nearly over. This year we have found that autumn colours are few and far between. Search and you could find some traditional yellow, golds and browns… add a little sunshine truly spectacular. But overall the dominant colour is still green.

We have enjoyed one colour more than any other this season. The Maples have done us proud…. Red glowing in dark corners adding light to some rather dull days.

Maple may well be a none native species, but this season they are all the more welcome.
Winter approaches and I wonder just what it has in store for us as near the end of this strange year, 2024 …. will 2025 be any different or will it spring its own surprises. No matter what…always ….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Hey David, great pictures, even if they aren’t the ones you wanted to take.

The trees in our yard are now 98% bare — all fallen because the wind carried them off the branches. And now, they gather in the yard. I wasn’t quite ready for them to meet their “death” yet. So I enjoyed your beautiful photos.
