Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday, always the Sunday nearest to the 11th November.

Poppies have become the instantly recognised emblem to commemorate those who served and those who lost their lives…. a long lived tradition that I hope continues.

Despite the horrors of War, there were some acts of kindness.  The small Postcard below, is a First World War card of  French origin and hand embroidered….  many different and individual styles, but all were provided by the French for Allied soldiers, to send a message of hope to family and loved ones at home…. this one is dated 1916 and beautifully and so skilfully crafted.

We pause in Silence at 11.00am , in respect.

” Lest we forget “

So today as always it is important that we all….

Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

10th November
