Often is in Borrowdale…supposedly the wettest pace in England.

The wettest place in England, eh! But surely not as wet as Blaenau Festiniog in Wales, where it rains very 100 days per year….

We had an old Farm House not far away so I know Blaenau Festiniog well and would concur with that statement. Wet indeed. I recall many years ago, driving through the part of the town where the quarry workshops were based… it was torrential rain and as we passed some of the old waste scree slopes the rain just poured off the slopes above car height and we were able to drive under these mini waterfalls. Strange experience
