The Fictious Home of Jimmy Perez 

Fans of the TV series ‘Shetland’, based upon Ann Cleeves Books, will instantly recognise the above house. Located in Lerwick with expansive sea views.

I have visited the Shetlands on several occasions. More recently on visits i began to wonder if Jimmy Perez was ‘real’.  In Lerwick I could have had a beer in Jimmy’s Bar, a Coffee in Jimmy Perez Café, Afternoon Tea in Perez Tea Room, buy an antique at Jimmy Perez Antiques., may be a Perez Coach Tour or Perez Guided Walk….  I think you get the picture.  Nor do I blame the islanders for making the most of the Tourist exposure the Books and TV series has provided. Nor do I think it has spoilt the natural attractions of the Shetlands with its unique blend of Scottish and Viking Heritage and of  course their Neolithic past.

As for the shot above.  Well I count myself lucky.  A  brief break in a some unkind weather, a blast of sunshine contrasting with storm clouds and a increasingly rougher sea.
