
The Yorkshire Dales are pretty in any season, change as the year goes along.
Here on a February day a couple of years ago. Wharfedale, with its river winding along the valley, surround by fells…. is a great example of, as they say, a ‘kind’ winters day .

They are knpw as dry stonewalls…no mortar just skilful stonemasons using random local stones. Many have been there for several centuries, a ‘trademark’ of sorts for Yorkshire and Derbyshire
