Drought and heatwaves (currently the 5th this summer) have rather devasted the garden, lots of disappointments.
So I am extra glad I potted up more planters this year… OK watering is a task but the rewards have been some isolated islands of colour in an increasingly brown garden…. from BIG and blousy Stargazer Lily (above)

To the the more Exotic Mexican Shell Flower,

not forgetting the diminutive pale Geranium.
Stay cool if you are in a heatwave locations, take care in wildfire areas… and as always….

Those flowers are beautiful! I’ve always found planting in pots works best for me. Hope your weather improves.

Meanwhile, over here we are drowning in rainy weather and grass and flowers are growing like crazy. It’s so damp in our hilly yard, which normally in summer has several brown areas, that there are big toadstools growing!
