A very Different Day……

Yesterdays brief spell of glorious sunshine has as predicted started a ‘turn for the worse’.  Dawn was still, cold and foggy…….

and indeed this was the calm before the predicted storms.  Fog lifted and we were blessed with some winter sunshine.  I say winter for the trees are now bare of leaves and though still casting a warm glow the view in the woods is now  distinctly one of winter….…..Forest-is-Bare

Not only do leaves carpet the woodland floor they also provide a temporary cover over large parts of the lake…….

which in turn provide excellent camouflage for the Mallards….

Whilst we hear that the storm has already moved into the south we can still, for the moment enjoy another welcome does of sunshine as the seasons change from Autumn to Winter………

So it is home for coffee and a warm fire and watching the F1 Qualifying in Brazil in comfort.
