Allestree Lake, Derbyshire
June 9th and it is rather warm. An early morning walk round the Lake, whilst still relatively cool, seemed to be a good plan. Relaxing and enjoyable, but still seems strange not having my companion Buster alongside me.
As the thermometer climbed, and nothing desperately pressing need to be tackled, the garden seemed to be the best place to relax and enjoy a hot Friday afternoon….. after all, that is why we create gardens, the hard work is just the necessary evil before one can put ones feet up.
It is that time when the Spring flowers vanish and the early Summer plants start to take over…. always interesting to observe, with a few surprise.
However one must always keep an eye open for the Head Gardener heading your way with new instructions…. No rest for the wicked. as they say!
With the weekend ahead I do hope you can find time to relax…. have fun…. but as always…..
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
