Here, today in England, it is a Public Holiday known as the Late Summer Bank Holiday. Now can I let those of you not in the know into the secret, that on a Bank Holiday in England it always rains….to prove the point in Scotland where it is not a Public Holiday, and after days of rain, the sun is bright in the sky and its a glorious day.
Nor is the forward forecast much better for our region so I guess I can hang up the Sunhat for another year……the more depressing thought is that the next Public Holiday is Christmas….now there is a thought
