
The Old Beech Tree
Summer, yet the depth and colour of last autumns fallen Beech leaves remains.
What is also fascinating is just how such a big tree as this mature Beech manages to find secure rooting on this rocky outcrop. I guess as it has stood solid for several hundred years that those tentacles of roots do dig deep into the ground.
