Glass is TRANSPARENT, the word nominated by Debbie for this weeks OWS.
We rather take Glass for granted, but in Elizabethan times Glass was expensive (very) and rare… so if you had the wealth you flaunted it by incorporating acres of glass in your buildings construction. Little Moreton Hall above is a good example of early glass and its construction.
