One of the flowers of summer is the Cosmos. Delicate petals glow against the dark foliage…but come a rain shower or strong breeze and off they fly. Thankfully once the season really gets underway they are a quite prolific plant.
The Ferns in the shady parts of our garden have done well in the damp but warm conditions of late. Always bushy, spreading to fill a dark corner. Easily dismissed as a rather plain shrub but on closer inspection the fronds are both delicate and intricate in detail….
