Poppies the enigmatic symbol of Remembrance Day
At eleven o’clock, on this eleventh day of the eleventh month, the country will pause in silence.
Remembrance Day was created to mark the end of World War 1 and to honour those lost in the conflict. Today, Remembrance Day now embraces all those who have suffered in the many conflicts since…. conflict that never seems to end.
Across the UK there will be individual acts of remembrance whilst churches and other public buildings will proudly display Poppies in their own individual way.
A collective National commemoration will be held on Sunday 13th, Remembrance Sunday, at of course 11 o’clock
In all difficult times….. and always…
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
11th November
