Local Entrepreneurs deep in conference, BUSY putting their world to rights. And on such a sunny afternoon, the waterfront was the ideal ‘Conference Room’
Debbie’s One Word Challenge this week is BUSY…. a word with lots of meanings. lets have your ideas. The link to Debbie’s blog is here:– https://travelwithintent.com/2023/05/07/busy-2/
Mean time a lone entrepreneur (also known as a busker) was BUSY entertaining tourists on another waterfront
And just to prove the point that being alone doesn’t mean that you are not BUSY
This Sunday and indeed everyday, as always….

The busker has highly polished shoes. Not a common sight nowadays!

I agree that busy doesn’t have to be on a large scale, which is where I went also. Enjoyed your choices.

Your post describes my life right now; I’m so busy I don’t have time to blog.

I know. And I think because we’re retired, people impose more because they think we have all of this free time to do them favors or do projects for them or their organizations. I thought I had learned how to say no, but perhaps I need to revisit that!

It takes time, but I have learnt the no word. Today in the UK, we have what they call “The Big Help Out Day”… being “encouraged” to volunteer. Even the guilt pressure has been applied by organisations I have been involved with. As I politely explained, after 50 years of volunteering and trustee commitments, I feel I a polite no is OK
