A Drab and Dreary Day………

Drab-Day-1

Well it is November and Drab and Dreary days are supposed to be the norm. But that would be unjust this year as we have enjoyed what looks like being the sunniest, driest and warmest on record.  So in a month that many folk describe as being like October and others even like late September we cannot complain about the ‘odd’ darker day.

The leaves are now falling off the trees in good numbers but even on a dull drab November day we an still enjoy a be-jewelled carpet of leaves on the woodland floor……

Drab-Day-2

I fear there will be no takers   for the lakeside bench today ….I guess it is a day to keep moving and to keep warm!…….

Drab-Day-3

There is always tomorrows….and that could be a very different day.

  1. Today we have strong winds in Norway. The northern part enjoys a full storm 🙂 but in most places there ar now no more leaves on the trees. The snow may be here any day now. Brrrr!

    1. You are right to chide me about comments on the weather…..it is that having enjoyed a superb sunny autumn (though the colour was very late) a grey day comes as a bit of a shock. I assume you are counting down the days now(to freedom as well as Christmas)

  3. Hi David. It has been pretty gloomy overhere these last two weeks. Sometimes a wee bit of sunshine which changes the views immediately. I have nicked another photo from you for my wallpaper on my computer. This time your photographic painting of the autumn leaves on the forest ground. FAB to say the least. The last one was a pine cone. Like that one, this one will stay several weeks as such photos do not ever get boring. Thank you so much. While dark grey clouds are rushing by, pushed forwards by a strong westerly winds, and the need for a desk lamp is quite obvious, I am enjoying your photos and those on Lakeland cam. The two of you are a great help to make my day colourful. 🙂

      1. Tank! But most of your photos are good for wallpaper. It doesn’t have to be that much of an effort then, would it? 😀
