After a dull start to this December day we did enjoy a brief spell of sunshine that once again made winter seem so far away….
It was brief and those grey skies are back again..Ah well!

You seem to have a fall that lasts somewhat longer that what we have, David. The colors that you show us today is like what we had 3-4 weeks ago. We’ve even had a bit of snow already. Fortunately it didn’t last. Only an early warning, but roads across the mountains have been temporarily closed. It won’t be long now . . .

Without sounding like a bringer of doom….I do wonder that if winter is so late in starting IF it will then be equally late in finishing and returning spring. Our advance forecast indicates that later in the week we will have wintery storms but after two days it will revert to mild weather once more!
