After the Storm…..

A bright morning and a clearing sky greeted us this morning after last nights storms.  The bigger surprise was that we seem to have escaped any real damage this time around. True the Lake did have traces of debris over the surface but elsewhere you would still be hard pressed to judge that it was still not autumn as our Chestnut walk illustrates so well……

The Field Hedge below was only recently heavily cut back, yet already there are signs of new green growth along its length…..

With winter and its frosts still to come may be it is just a little too soon!
