Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) and our tradition has it that the remaining stump of the now defunct Advent Candle is burnt till nothing is left….and a time to reflect on yesterdays family festivities.
It was also a time to reflect on the winter that until now has not arrived. Whilst we have had the occasional frost this morning was the first for any ice…the pond had a thin covering casting a misty veil over the water plants that up until now had been doing there best to survive till spring….
