After all the rains of this week I was surprised to find that Burbage Brook whilst still flowing fast over the cascades it was not as furious as I expected it to be.
The water level had soon dropped back to a near normal for these falls that drain water from the moors down to the River Derwent. That I suppose should be a relief as there are enough floods across the country with out adding to them any further……
