When the sunshine’s you would be fooled into thinking that it was not winter over the Derbyshire Dales. Hawthorne’s bent to the wind over the years remind us how wild this area can be. But this winters lack of any snow has kept the grasses green. We still hope that winter does not have a sting in its tail.

Lovely image David, but the bent over trees give some indication of a strong wind…MM 🍀

I echo your hopes regarding the potential sting in the tail. Still plenty of opportunity for it.

Beautiful! I understand what you’re saying about winter’s sting. We’ve got bulbs coming up all over the yard, and I fear winter will still make her presence felt and kill them all off!

May be we are being pessimistic and for once winters ravages will pass us by……fingers crossed.
