Even more rain today only this time it was accompanied by thunder….so as you can guess when it rained it was more like a monsoon! So I was surprised that the Iris managed to stay upright. I also guess the ants are much smarter than we think….look closely and you will see they sought shelter under the petals. Despite the thrashing the Water Lillie’s continue to shine through…..
In the woods, the trees managed to provide cover for the new seasons ferns. Whilst the dense leaf canopy provided some protection the trunks themselves rain with water refreshing the bark lichen….
There were some sunny spells…..so if you had the urge to indulge in some sporting activity you had the choice today between Golf or Water Polo!……

These are all really good shots – as always – but that iris has to be the best one i’ve ever seen! Really nice for a flower that’s tough to get a new angle on. I love the angle, the framing, the light, the colors, everything.

It’s like the rain has washed Mother Nature and made her look fresh and clean. And smell wonderful after a thunderstorm… My favourite is the water lily, or Lotus flower. The vibrant pink makes me smile. But I love all your photos.

That fresh after the thunder smell is rather good….but after the last few days I reckon we can give it a miss for awhile! Take care.
