After all the sunny mornings of the past few months the fog that draped everywhere with its cool blanket of grey, dulling all the woodland colours, still came as a bit of a surprise. Not that we can complain the late summer and early autumn have been a real treat with what I call bonus days!

The fog turned to mist and though it remained with us all day, the lingering warmth and that fact that the sun did exercise its best efforts to break through made it all quite a pleasant change.

The mist brushed the tops of the trees by the lake for most of the day
But in the end the sun did win through and add a brighter touch to the end of the day

You might suggest that it is time that I admitted that Autumn was really with us. Certainly todays fog has been a forceful reminder of seasonal change yet for much of the woodland the glades are still verdant green….

Thank you…we are blessed with a varied and ever changing countryside right on our doorstep (even though we live on the edge of a City)

Thank you. Misty and for the first time there was a chill in the air…..winter has to come sometime but lets hope it is later rather than sooner :_0

Morning! I so love the revolving photos on the top and the misty ones in this chapter are my favourite. Moody, yet mysterious. Almost magic. To be they are absolutely fabulous although a bit of sunshine this time of year is very welcome too. 🙂
