A Rose by any other name is a Hellebores…….
A real winter treat and a sure sign that spring is on the way…The Christmas Rose’s in the garden have now started to flower….a little late for Christmas (or early for this next Christmas!) and certainly a few weeks later than we would expect. They love the shade, and in our garden, the damp. Sheltering under a tree or a bush, we have to search for them, they develop some sturdy stems and these clusters of blossom heads, delicate and subtle in colour.
