The Gateway..
Many people pass this dark corner of the woods but most never see the old Gateway, boarded up, padlocked and overgrown. Waste ground beyond, no mystery but once it was a walled garden with orangery.

Crocus…
In another dark corner something new and much fresher….catching the mornings sunshine…..
I am sure the purple of the petals was created exclusively for Crocus, add the touch of gold for the stamen, a slim white stalk and you have perfection.
