A Bridge over the River Wye, Derbyshire
Just like the bridge below it is just wide enough for a horse to cross. The one above is rather smart, as it should be, being one of the entrances to large Country Hall.
The one below is over the River Bradford, just a few miles away and typical of many “Packhorse or Clapper” bridges. Constructed of simple slabs of stone on stubby plinths. These bridges were constructed on purely practical need, this one forms part of a Lead miners track.
Both beautiful in there own right
