Well here we are, the last day of April……they have always said that April is the month of showers…..well today is like most days this month, it is raining and raining heavy. Gales are also forecast so please excuse me if I think someone is playing a belated April Fools prank upon us.
I am just hoping that the 3 days of ‘real’ Spring we revelled in the middle of the month will be replicated, but on a more regular basis during May.
I also hope that we have some colourful floral joy to come….after all what is it they say,
“April Showers will bring forth May Flowers”
30th April

Well, it’s blowing half a gale here this morning, and grey and wet…

I think we are just on the cusp and looking at the latest weather map we may well miss the worst. Windy, but not a gale, feels damp but as yet no rain. I think our turn comes tomorrow when the weather will head in from the west. What joy to welcome May 🙂

We just today said Goodbye to the storm and the rains, hails and thunderstorms. The sun’s out but it’still bitterly cold with that NW wind, force 6-8 on the coast and 4-6 inland. This is what the Brits call The Blackthorne Winter. http://www.itv.com/news/2015-03-23/weather-blackthorn-winter-arrives/
But it still seems to be quite normal. While I am shivering in my short sleeves and diving into the wardrobe to feth a fleece I don’t care if it’s normal. It’s flippin cold. And I refuse to put the heater on. Hopefully at your end it will be over soon as it will be here, 20-23º again coming weekend. I don’t need it that warm, but 17-18… not too much wind. Dry… a coffee on a terrace, sunglasses… aaah… Heaven again. It will come. I promise! Well… BBC does: https://www.bbc.com/weather/2651347
