The Sheep of the Cumbrian Lake District Fells…at times a hostile environment for these sheep that roam the fells in all weathers. But this big fellow is intent on keeping a healthy gene pool alive…..
and hers is one he made last year!

I love these Herswicks since I first saw them. That was somewhere in the 80-ties when my friends in their 3-wheel car took me to The Lake District. These sheep always seem to have this mysterious smile.
