An old weather rhyme that is often quoted today. You can of course substitute Shepherds for Sailor for land lubbers.
I suppose by and large our Forecaster get their weather predictions more right than wrong. Which is a worry as sever weather is again the warning from late Friday and thru the weekend.
As for the image above, which I captured many moons ago, I cannot recall if this is a sunset or sunrise. I recall it was around mid summer and this lighthouse protrudes into the North Sea and if you are up and about you can catch both the down and up of the sun.
