Sunrise – Sunset
Tonight is a significant event in our annual seasonal calendar. Whilst the daylight hours have, for a few weeks, been getting shorter, that change takes a noticeable change tonight. It is that time of year when we have to ‘put our clocks back’ by one hour. Whilst for a short time the mornings will appear to be a little lighter, the evenings will creep in ever so quickly.
For many, those shorter daylight hours can be a problem, others tolerate the change as part of the seasonal cycle….. so I guess the best way of looking at the issue is that December 21st and the Winter Solstice will soon be with us. The daylight hours can again start to get longer.
So don’t forget to adjust your clocks – remember the rhyme
“Fall back – Spring forward”

Gorgeous photo, David. Thanks for the reminder that we will have to phone my 106-year-old Mom-in-law an hour later tomorrow morning. 😃

Over here in the U.S.A, we “fall back” later than you do, not until November 3. I do love the fall and winter seasons, but when it gets dark so much earlier, it can be a bit depressing.
