It is not two months past (seems a lifetime ago) since we were sailing round the Lofoten Islands and the Fjords of Northern Norway….. and on a evening like this it easy to believe that this is the land of the Trolls.

The water currents from various direction met at this point and made these beautiful sweeps .. . but the light was magical as it was on most evenings on the trip 🙂

16 days…and only one evening when it was rather dull. So as you can guess we are still pinching ourselves – no it wasn’t a dream 🙂

Fred Olsen… Not the cheapest but small ships and great service. Our Captain on this trip on Black Watch is from Norway and lives below the Seven Sisters…his local knowledge was great. Apart from one port of call all the trip was above the Arctic Circle ….plus a stop at Lerwick on the way home. 🙂
