Mixed September Days….

18

The Sedum changes colour, muted pinks and reds….. just like elsewhere this September.  It is a reminder that the seasons are moving along.  The weather is also mixed. Over the last couple of days we have swung from wet drab grey days to bright sunny summer days then back again.  Right now its evening and the temperature is still 24c and rather sunny.

Like it or not we cannot hang on to summer, just enjoy what we can of the last, brighter, September moments.  Autumn colours are now more evident, berries are red and acorns are having a bumper year.  The hanging baskets are now past there best and starting to fade and the bracken in the woods is decidedly dry and brown…those song birds of summer have flown.

But join me on one of my daily perambulation’s, a proper late summer pending autumn walk….

Now for something a little Different

At the weekend the Local Village had a Scarecrow Trail.  Over 25 Scarecrows at gardens round the village…all in aid of the MacMillan Charity.  Here are just one or two that I stumbled across…

A bit of fun for a worthy cause….  well done the Village.

Please Remember ….
