It Will Soon Be Spring…. Promise

Soon-be-Spring-2010--_0030

Wharfedale, Yorkshire Dales

The weather has turned much more seasonally cold…. well it beats the rains of recent weeks.

But the good news must be that Spring can not be that far away.

Whatever weather you are enjoying…..

    • I have of course managed to forget that it is not spring you are looking towards but autumn after your summer! ….. even if it is cool 🙂 This morning out Met Office is predicting outbreaks of snow….but as to where it will fall that is a matter of luck (or bad luck). We here may have complained about our weather, but in this awful year of Covid, it has been good enough to allow us to get out and enjoy the countryside and gardens a great deal of the time. That was so important.

  1. Beautiful – but I am afraid Spring will wait a bit …Sadly enough I heard the blackbird sing some weeks ago when we still had almost 9 degrees here. I hope he will stay safe and not start a family already.

    • Many of the Spring Bulbs are bursting through what has until now been soft soil…… the first real frosts have arrived this week, so I guess they will try and hibernate. As for the Birds…. well our garden is usually full of the smaller birds, but not this winter. We have said it before – its a strange year.

      • Yes, everything is strange…Last week, when it was up to 9 degrees since November, I heard the blackbird sing. It is a beatiful tune, but totally wrong already. Hopefully they have relaxed now when it is a bit colder.
