To Welcome in the New Year…

New Year 2021

Well here we are….. the end of a year that I think we would all like to forget, its been difficult to say the least.

The New Year must still bring with it some anxiety and worry for many of us.  We can but hope that some form of ‘normal’ life will return at some point during 2021.

Till then I lift a Glass and Raise a Toast…..

Peace and Best Wishes to all, and my hope that the New Year will also be Healthy for You and Yours.

  1. Same to you, David! 2021!!! Who would have thought that only 10 years ago?! But the wheels are turning faster than ever. Notice Boris’ father goes French. I bet that came as a surprise too?! But you did get a ‘Brexit Deal – at long last! And whatever it entails – or doesn’t – someone will feel that is it not sufficient? For sure! For some reason, the details concerning the North Irland question have not been particularly well covered, but I suspect a number of things are still hanging in the air? Anyway, a deal is better than no deal! All the best to you!

    1. A deal is better than no deal….. but we could have had a better deal if the May deal had been accepted. Northern Ireland is a strange issue but what about Gibraltar….never really mentioned in all the debates. But to heck with politics, we will never get politicians who can understand simple common sense. 2021 has to be better but I guess it will take a time before any improvements kick in. Best wishes and good health 🙂

  2. Greetings to you on this, the first day of a fresh year! I do worry about going back to ‘normal’. If some of the behaviour and attitudes of people which we witnessed last year is normal, I’d rather not have it 🙂 🙂

    1. That was not normal….. but sadly a mark of how selfish some folk were/are, showing lack of courtesy to others and certainly no responsability. Restrictions didn’t apply to them and despite a worsening situation, still don’t

    1. Summer at the very earliest…… and maybe that is being hopeful. Just depends upon how efficient our Governments are at making decisions and getting logistics sorted.Scotland seems more positive in its actions than England. The pet phrase from Boris is that he is following the science, the clue is ‘following’ … at times simple common sense was ahead of the science. Hope and positivity from all of us I trust will get us through. Take care….:-)
