It is a few years ago, on what I recall was a Monday morning. We took a drive out from Stavanger heading towards Dirdal and Gilja with the famous boulder field at Gloppedalsuren as the destination. It was a dull overcast ‘Moody Monday’ not encouraging for views.
At this point the road ran high above the Fjord, as we rounded a bend there was a viewpoint layby, so we had to stop and admire. It was then that the sun tried to break through the early morning cloud cover. It was a very brief bright spell, the best it got all day. So a quick shot was all we got. A perfect recollection of a Moody Monday and still a great day to explore another little corner of Norway. 🙂
I hope you are not feeling too moody this Monday and please remember…

Although my ancestry is 100% Norwegian, I’ve been to that country only once, and that was during a hitchhiking trip from Berlin during student days. I would dearly love to be able to have a leisurely tour now, driving and stopping at will. May it come to pass.

As you will already appreciate….. if the opportunity comes along, allow plenty of time 🙂
