On the Tow Path…..

A Lock Keepers Cottage alongside the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal at Stourport. It would have been one of many such cottages at major locks on the Canal network.

Now repurposed (as they say) into an Artist Studio and Gallery who’s wares also include canal boat accessories from fellow crafts folk.  A very different life for this little bit of our Industrial Heritage.

At one time there were lots of little ‘mystery’ shops packed with different and intriguing items….few and far between now, The multi national High Street killed of so many creating their look alike environments. I used to have to travel for work across the UK and when ever I had the chance used to love exploring what each town and city shopping areas had to offer. Department Stores to small independents all seemed to create their own identity through the items they sold.
