A peaceful day for Narrowboat Annie, passing under one of the ‘horseshoe’ bridges, at the junction of the Oxford Canal with the Grand Union Canal at Braunston, Northamptonshire.
Annie is a Leisure Boat with all mod-cons and luxuries. For many years this was a very busy hub for much more basic ‘working boats’ plying their transport trade over the Canal Network that linked major Industrial Cities and Towns across England…… a part of our industrial history now long gone.
(On the Cut is a colloquial word for Canal)
