The progress of Spring can be ‘ticked off’ by a succession of seasonal markers. Snowdrops, Daffodils, Tulips, Bluebells, a stream of differing Blossoms….. then we know that Spring is near its climax when Blossom starts to drape the Hawthorn bushes.
Some years springs progress is slow and measured, others it comes as a rush.
